Sonic's POV:

Finally delt with Eggman. Now to find Tails and Knuckles so we can find out about Solarius...

Suddenly, a beam of light came out of nowhere. what the...

Then, I saw Silver. "You again!" I cried.

"This time, there will be no more interpretations!" Glared the white hedgehog. He tried to strike me again, but I jumped clear. Then, he caught me in beams while off guard. "The iblis trigger, must die."

"Argh!" I just couldn't break free, no matter what I did.

Shadow's POV.

Solarius project? What did Eggman mean? Hmm... 

"Shadow, do you read me?"

I glanced at my arm radio. "Yes, Rouge." I replied. "I need you to try to find information about the Solarius project for me."

"Understood, Shadow. I think Omega..."

"The iblis trigger, must die."

"Huh?" That voice made me loose track if what Rouge was saying. Iblis trigger? What's that even....

"Argh!"

"Sonic!" I cried. "Rouge, gotta go!"

I rushed over to the scene and jumped between Sonic and whoever it was that was attacking him.

Sonic's POV

Before I could do anything else, someone jumped in and broke the barrier between me and Silver.

"Who..." Silver trailed off before angrily saying "Mephiles! Why are you getting in my way?"

"I'm Shadow. Shadow the hedgehog."

Wait. Shadow? My arch rival? I must have been too tired to hear properly. But... no. He was standing right there. Arms folded, glaring at Silver... I think. 

Shadow's POV

After giving the light grey hedgehog a death glare, I turned around to Sonic with a concerned look. "Are you alright?" I asked. No time to worry about rivalries right now.

"Yeah, I think so." Sonic slowly got to his feet. "Thanks, Shadow, for saving my life."

"Glad to see you're fine. You go while you still can." I continued. "I'll settle this score."

"Good luck." Sonic gave me a thumbs up, and I did likewise before he took off.

"Same to you." I called back. Then, I turned to the other hedgehog to battle.
